Toasted Marshmallow Day, an “unofficial” national holiday is sponsored by the National Confectioners Association. From Wikipedia: “Marshmallow is a type of confectionery that is typically made from sugar, water and gelatin whipped to a squishy consistency.” Yep, that pretty much sums it up! Sweet deliciousness: a local brewery did a pie-beer tasting around Thanksgiving and two of the desserts had marshmallow ingredients…if you can pair marshmallows with beer, chances are good you can find a wine, whiskey or other fermentable to stand up to its sugary squishiness.
