We spend a good deal of our time advising craft beverage brands on how to use artificial intelligence well. It’s only fair we tell you how we use it ourselves.
We’ve never believed AI is here to take the human out of this business. Back when molecular beverage printers were supposedly going to retire every bartender, and again the week ChatGPT arrived, our position was the same one we hold today: the brands that win are the ones that pair good tools with good people. AI is part of how we work. It is not a substitute for the judgment, taste, and industry fluency our clients hire us for.
Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Human-led, AI-assisted
Strategy, creative direction, and the final call on everything we publish come from the Market Your Craft team, not a model. The frameworks, methodologies, and brand thinking behind our work originate with us. Where AI helps, it helps the way a sharp assistant would: organizing research, accelerating first drafts, suggesting alternatives, handling production tasks that would otherwise eat the hours we’d rather spend thinking about your brand. A person reviews, edits, and stands behind every deliverable that carries our name or yours.
Accuracy over autopilot
AI is confident even when it’s wrong, and it doesn’t know your taproom from another. So we fact-check. Claims, statistics, citations, product details, and competitive references in AI-assisted work get verified against real sources before anything ships. We won’t be a vector for misinformation, and we won’t let a plausible-sounding sentence go out the door unchecked.
Your story stays yours
We don’t pass off others’ work as original, and we don’t pass off a machine’s work as a substitute for craft. We respect intellectual property, checking names and creative against the appropriate databases when it matters. And we treat your brand’s IP as exactly that: yours. Anything we develop with AI assistance on your behalf belongs to you, same as it always has.
The Market Your Craft chatbot
Our website assistant is an AI chatbot trained on Market Your Craft’s published Guides, Workshops, and best practices. It’s there to answer common questions about marketing your beverage brand and point you toward the right resource quickly.
A few things worth knowing: it’s an AI, not a person, and like all AI it can occasionally be incomplete or out of date. It speaks for the Market Your Craft team rather than any one individual, and whenever you’d prefer a human, you can reach us directly. Conversations may be retained to help us improve the tool; we don’t use them to make business health, eligibility, or other consequential decisions about you.
Privacy and your data
We’re careful about what goes into AI tools. We don’t feed confidential client information into public AI models without permission, and we handle anything you share with the same sensitivity we’ve always brought to your email lists and customer data. Our full Privacy Policy governs how we collect and protect personal information across the site, the assistant included.
Transparency
We’ll tell you when and how AI played a role in your work: no mystery, no pretense that a robot did the strategic thinking. Several of our published Guides note where AI assisted in their production, and we extend that same candor to the work we do for you.
A footprint worth noticing
The craft beverage world thinks hard about water and energy — it’s baked into how good producers operate. We try to bring that same awareness to our AI use: reduce first, use these tools deliberately rather than reflexively, and keep the environmental cost of the technology in view rather than out of mind. It’s a small thing per prompt. It’s still a thing.
